Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated into the butter-sugar mixture.

  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing well until a smooth dough forms.

  6. Form the dough into a disc, wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

  7. On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use a round cookie cutter or glass to cut out circles of dough.

  8. Place about a teaspoon of your chosen filling in the center of each dough circle. Shape the cookies into triangles and seal the edges.

  9. Arrange the filled cookies on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops of the cookies with milk.

  10. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  11. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
