Truffles With Cake Crumbs

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it comes to a simmer. Be careful not to let it boil.

2. Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Once the cream is heated, pour it over the chocolate. Let it sit for a minute or two to allow the heat to melt the chocolate.

3. Gently stir the chocolate and cream mixture with a spatula or whisk until smooth and well combined. Add the softened butter and vanilla extract, stirring until the butter is fully incorporated.

4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until it is firm enough to handle.

5. Once the chocolate mixture has set, use a small cookie scoop or a spoon to scoop out portions and roll them into small balls with your hands.

6. Roll each truffle ball in the finely crushed cake crumbs until fully coated. The cake crumbs will add a delightful crunch to the truffles and complement the smooth chocolate center.

7. Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate them for another 30 minutes to set.

8. For the finishing touch, you can choose to roll the truffles in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chopped nuts, or even dip them in melted chocolate for an extra decadent touch.

9. Once the truffles have set, they are ready to be enjoyed! Serve them on a beautiful platter or package them in a gift box to share with friends and family.
