– 2 tablespoons of paprika
– 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
– 1 tablespoon of onion powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a dry rub.
3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by sliding a knife under it and then using a paper towel to grip and pull it off.
4. Rub the dry rub all over the ribs, making sure to coat them evenly on both sides.
5. If you’re grilling the ribs, place them on the preheated grill and cook for about 2 hours, flipping and basting with barbecue sauce every 20-30 minutes.
If you’re baking the ribs, place them on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2-2.5 hours, basting with barbecue sauce every 20-30 minutes.
6. The ribs are done when the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
7. Remove the ribs from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing them into individual portions.
8. Serve the Hickory Pork Ribs with additional barbecue sauce on the side for dipping, and enjoy!
