**Butt Chicken**

Ingredients:
– 1 whole chicken (about 4-5 pounds)
– 1 can of beer (12 ounces)
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons of your favorite poultry seasoning
– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 375-400°F (190-200°C). Alternatively, preheat your oven to the same temperature if you prefer to roast the chicken indoors.

2. Remove any giblets from the chicken cavity and pat dry with paper towels. Place the chicken on a clean work surface.

3. Rub the chicken all over with olive oil, ensuring it’s coated evenly.

4. Season the chicken generously with poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Make sure to season both the outside and inside of the chicken.

5. Open the can of beer and take a few sips to make room for the can to sit upright in the chicken. Place the beer can on a sturdy surface.

6. Carefully lower the chicken onto the beer can, inserting the can into the cavity of the chicken. The chicken should now be sitting upright on the can with the legs pointing down.

7. Transfer the chicken, standing on the beer can, to the grill, using a stand if necessary to keep it stable. If roasting in the oven, place the chicken on a roasting pan.

8. Close the lid on the grill or cover the chicken with foil in the oven. Cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) when checked with a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the thigh without touching the bone.

9. Carefully remove the chicken from the grill or oven. Be cautious of the hot beer can when removing the chicken.

10. Let the chicken rest for about 10 minutes before carefully removing the beer can. Be careful as steam may escape.

11. Carve the chicken as desired and serve hot with your favorite sides.
